If I can make it there…

I am no longer the “new girl” in the office. A new guy started this week and he is now the one who draws the short straw! I think I am being slowly welcomed into the pack. I can’t be sure, I don’t want to make any sudden movements and scare the team away but I believe that a pecking order is forming. Don’t get me wrong, if a predator were to attack I have no doubt that the herd would leave the slow and the weak behind (me and newbee) but at least I would not be the only casualty any longer!

I must admit that my job is cool! I get to visit businesses in the city like Fox News, American Kennel Club and Court TV! These businesses are in the coolest buildings, The Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Center, etc.

Changing Topics now…

New York Ediquette

There is a certain way to do things here in the city.
1. When it is raining you have to hold your umbrella so that others don’t get poked in the eye, this means that when walking on the sidewalk you make sure that you leave enough room for others and their rain gear.
2. If you are walking at a normal/slow pace down the street, make sure to walk to the side so that others can pass you.
3. Once you get on a city bus you should give up your seat to the elderly NOTE: This does not apply on the subway, it is every man for himself, keep your seat in a seat or you lose it!
4. While on the subway stand where there is room but don’t obstruct others from grabbing some sort of handle or bar while the car is in motion.

Hope this helps!

Important alert
If you have had any desire to visit New York City you better make plans within the next year, or two. I won’t live in the city forever and right now you have a free bed so act now to reserve your spot! Operators are standing by!
