Hello friends!
January is almost over and I am glad! It is very cold in the Northeast this winter but I really don’t mind. I am glad that January is almost over because it is just not one of my favorite months. Work is very stressful right now and that is unusual. The economy is really taking a toll on everyone and because of that, my job has become a micromanagment nightmare!
My roommate just got back from Germany and it was not a good trip for her! I am trying to keep her spirits up as well as figure out how I can keep myself occupied until things change!
As a Christian, I have to keep remembering that my identity and value does not come from my job, my friends, my image, my success, or my happiness. It comes from Christ and I am enough because he is so much more than enough.
I have been very anxious lately trying to figure out how much longer I should stay in New York and all I can do is take a deep breath and recite, “Be still and know that I am God”. I really enjoyed being home for the holidays and it has been tough being back in the city.
